Master bedroom
The master bedroom has a comfortable oak double bed - the full length window has views over the orchard of mixed fruit trees and lawns.
Second bedroom
The second bedroom sleeps three people in comfort and will suit a couple plus child or three separately. Two of the beds can be made up as twins or one King Size double bed. King size or single duvets are provided.
Mezzanine landing
There is a comfy modern sofa bed on a mezzanine landing which can sleep one person.
Bathroom
Large shower with strong water-pressure and plenty of hot water in the bathroom with hand-basin and large mirror, good lighting and towel rails over a wall-mounted heater. Electric shaving point. Separate lavatory next to the bathroom with bookshelves!
Sitting-dining area
The sitting/dining area of the gite is generously proportioned, (measuring approx 20' x 20') and is furnished with a mixture of modern and antique furniture. Winter warmth is provided by electric heating plus the charm of a wood-burning stove with plenty of fuel provided.
The dining table seats 6 easily and has lovely views out to the orchard.
There is also a dining area for 6 under cover between the Gite and a restored bread oven to the side of the house. A lovely place to eat in the shade when it's too hot to eat outside the kitchen.
Kitchen
The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, hob and combination microwave/convection oven.
Outside the kitchen is a bright and sunny terrace, BBQ and table for alfresco dining.
There's a second fridge and barbeque available in the barn opposite the kitchen door.
10m x 5m pool
Vital for the hot summer days for which France is renowned, our pool provides a lovely place for all the family to splash and swim.
Professionally built and installed, it has a beige liner giving aquamarine-blue sparkling-looking water. It has curved steps leading down into it for paddling and sitting and chatting. The pool has a shallow end of approx 1.5m and a deep end of 2.5m.
There is a large flagged sitting out area surrounding the pool which includes shade under an ancient timbered roof. Large sofas line two walls, allowing the whole family to laze around. Sun-loungers and hammocks can be positioned in favourite spots and, for the active, a table-tennis table and bats are provided. The swimming pool area is safely enclosed with a low-level fence which allows views of the orchard and fields beyond - all completely private.
Property Details
The cottage has recently been restored to give comfortable accommodation with two light and airy bedrooms sleeping a maximum of 5 people.

Comfortable pocket-sprung beds in spacious bedrooms, simply furnished with antique furniture and modern bedding! The main bedroom has an oak bed-frame and double mattress, the second bedroom has two single beds which can be made up as a further double and a further third single bed to accommodate three children or adults sharing. A sofa bed on a mezzanine space open to the stairs (but behind banisters) provides a good sleeping/relaxing area for one person.
All bedding is supplied (at extra cost). Pillows and duvets are of good quality and clean.
Heating
The house is fully heated and in winter there is extra heat available from the wood burning stove. Fuel is supplied.
